    Time

Saturday, June 9, 2007, 11:19 PM EST [General]

Time ticks by so fast, so slow

no one knows just where it goes

we wonder why it flys by so

then to think "oh man it's slow"

Sitting here I now ponder in thought

things that could have been, would have been, and aren't

loves I missed, the touches, the kisses,

dreaming about what might be one day

wondering if my mind is at bay...

As time passes by I grow older so we say,

my soul grows weary, lonely & bored

wondering long if time is lord.

I think not, so this I say,

my mind keeps dreaming, my soul at play

I am master of my life tis true,

some days it's hard, my feelings so blue.

Sitting here thinking, he's on my mind...

wondering about the things soon coming in time.

    Hmmm... something yummy

Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 10:14 PM EST [General]

The other day I was thinking about some of the yummy things that are provided for us by nature, some in our own backyards, others in the woods...  I was tickled pink to find some new dandilion greens sprouting up the other day... the blossoms hadn't quite come out.  The greens are great with romaine lettuce, fresh leaf lettuce from the garden, some cheez (fresh grated parmisean is great!) a few baby carrots, maybe a raddish & green oninons... mmm... throw a mater on there and you've got a doosey.

Something else good is homemade rootbeer.  I don't recall where I read a recipe, but one my grandma & I came up with was good.  We found some small sasafrass saplings and dug at the roots.  We broke off a bit, but didn't take it all because we didn't want to kill the tree.  We ended up with about 3 regular size carrots worth (not sure how to explain it otherwise)... we put on a kettle of water and after scrubbing the roots good we broke em up to fit and put them into the pot.  Then we broght them to a boil, shut off the heat and let them steep for about 20 minutes.  Strained the brew and added a little sweetner (we used that splenda & sugar stuff).  We chilled it for a day and oh was it good.  Non-carbonated of course, but good... :D

On the other side of things

Monday, May 7, 2007, 12:49 PM EST [General]

The weather is goregous, cool, but nice... I'm going to help my grandma in her flower gardens this week and she's given me the ok to put an herb garden atop the hill.  I'm still working on the fire ring part.... :D  Its a beautiful spot for my outdoor area.  We'll see what happens.

As of right now it looks as though we'll be here awhile, at least until some financial stability comes into play.  With me going back to school things are going to be even tighter financially, but the end result will be worth the sacrafice now.

I'm going to get my crochet out again and work on some patterns.  I've been trying.  The business I attempted to launch has now been put on the back burner again... I've not had much luck with it, but it's also been difficult to keep up with all the moving...

Hope you all enjoy the weather, I hope it's nice wherever you are!!

    Blessings!

    Momma I'm Home!

Saturday, May 5, 2007, 11:34 PM EST [General]

WHOA!  It's been awhile since I posted here.  I thought I had posted in March... I've been a bad girl... lol

    Ok... a quick 'Catch up'

    1. We relocated yet again... only this time we went home.  We moved from Marion County Ohio back to Athens County Ohio, early April.
    2. We were offered a free place to live... that fell through 3 weeks later.
    3. We were attempting to purchase a house, across the street from my inlaws, which also fell through after the falling out that caused #2.
    4. We are now staying with my grandparents until we find a place to call home...
    5. I started a new job that I am overqualified for, and really don't make enough to even keep doing it... but... until something better comes along...
    6. I met a few Pagans on the block... I had my curiosities about them, and then just asked. :)
    7. My kids love their new school and are both doing wonderfully adjusting to it.
    8. I'm going back to school to finish my nursing degree and will also be doing a second degree in nutrition and dietetics.

It's nice to be home, but not having a place to call my own is getting old.  As you see in the second lil bullet thing, we were offered a place.  The place was the trailer we lived in prior to moving to Marion.  We were going to accept it, have the sewer hooked back up, our own electric put in, the whole bit.  Then they started on my husband, and push came to shove, and his parents disowned him because they "didn't want us there" because "we bugged them"... so, we left and asked my grandparents if we could hang out there until we found out about our house.

The house deal fell through, which doesn't surprise me because the guy that was going to sell it to us was good friends with the inlaws.  I don't know exactly what happened, and I'm really kinda relieved.  My husbands job isn't exactly certain right now, and mine sure doesn't do much for us... Costs me nearly my whole paycheck just to keep the job (I travel alot, but get no reimbursment for mileage until 200+ miles, then only for over 200).  So, as you see finances aren't exactly Wonderful...

I'm stoked about school... don't know how to put it in here plain enough other than "YEE HAW"

I talked with a few neighbors (grandmas neighbors) and found out there are at least 3 Pagans (not including me), 2 "I don't know's" and 4 Christian claimants on this section of the "holler". That I think is kinda cool.  I talked with the Pagans, one doesn't practice but studies, she & I talked about getting together and having a lil shindig soon.  Also found out my sister has the inclination to come with me.

Everything happens for a reason, I was not meant to live that near my inlaws due to instability.  There is so much negativity out there it's pathetic... and they have nurve to say my grandpa is evil.  Oh well... I'm sure I'm the evil one now, taking away their only son & only child, whom they cast out.  Time will heal the wounds I hope.  My husband was hurt very badly over all the nonsense and to see two parents just cast out their only child was just plain wrong.

Otherwise, no harm done, with us staying at grandmas I don't have to hide in the closet (or attempt to anyway!!), I've been out and as a good friend said "the door shrunk"!! LOL

I wish y'all blessings and wonderful weather!  I know it's been goregous here lately!  I love it!!
